Shipping & Delivery Policy

RoofBros Pty Ltd (ABN 47 647 880 199) trading as RoofBros Tile Recycling

Last updated: 24 August 2026

This policy should be read together with our Terms & Conditions. It explains how we deliver goods, what we need from you to deliver safely and on time, and what happens when a delivery is delayed or a site isn’t ready.

1. Delivery Areas & Timeframes

We deliver across Sydney and Australia-wide from our Padstow and Penrith (Cranebrook) warehouses. Metro Sydney orders are generally available for next-day delivery, subject to stock availability and truck scheduling. Delivery dates and times we provide are estimates only — they can be affected by weather, traffic, supplier lead times (for special order goods) and site access issues, and are not a guaranteed delivery time unless confirmed by us in writing.

2. Delivery Charges

Delivery charges are quoted separately to the cost of goods and are based on distance, load size and access requirements. Charges will be confirmed at the time of quote or order.

3. Site Access & Preparation

It’s the customer’s responsibility to make sure the delivery site is ready and accessible before the truck arrives. This includes:
  • Providing a clear, safe, and suitable path for a heavy delivery vehicle (and crane or conveyor, where applicable) to access the drop-off point;
  • Advising us in advance of any access restrictions — narrow driveways, low overhangs, soft or unstable ground, steep grades, locked gates, or shared/strata driveways;
  • Ensuring someone authorised is on site (or reachable) at the agreed delivery window to direct the driver and accept the goods, unless other arrangements have been agreed in writing;
  • Restraining pets and keeping the delivery area clear of vehicles, tools, and other obstructions.

We reserve the right to deliver to the nearest safely accessible point, refuse to attempt an unsafe delivery, or charge a redelivery fee where a site is not ready, without this being treated as a failure to deliver on our part.

4. Damage on Site

Our drivers take reasonable care with every delivery. However, roof tiles, pallets of stock, and bulk materials are heavy, and unloading — including by hand-bombing, crane, or conveyor — carries an inherent risk of incidental damage to driveways, kerbs, paving, lawns, gardens, and similar surfaces, particularly where ground conditions are soft, uneven, or where the customer has directed delivery to a non-standard access point.

By accepting delivery, the customer accepts this inherent risk. RoofBros is not liable for incidental damage to driveways, paths, lawns, gardens or similar surfaces arising from a delivery carried out with reasonable care, except where the damage is caused by our negligence or wilful act. We strongly encourage customers to tell us about any fragile, sensitive or damage-prone access points before delivery so we can plan accordingly, and to take photos of the access area beforehand if concerned.

Risk in the goods passes to the customer on delivery (i.e. once goods are unloaded at the agreed site or handed over), in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.

5. Demurrage & Waiting Time

Our delivery trucks and drivers are scheduled tightly to keep costs and delivery times down. Each delivery includes a reasonable allowance for unloading. Where a delivery is delayed or extended beyond that allowance for reasons within the customer’s control — for example, the site or access not being ready, no one available to accept the delivery, delays directing the driver, or a requirement to wait for further instructions — a demurrage charge may apply for the additional truck and driver time.

Demurrage is charged at our current hourly (or part-hourly) waiting rate, which will be advised at the time of booking or on request, and will be added to the customer’s invoice. We’ll always try to contact the customer if a delivery is running into extended wait time before charges accrue where practical.

6. Warehouse Collection (Pick-Up Orders)

Where goods are collected from our Padstow or Penrith warehouse rather than delivered, goods must be collected within 48 hours of being notified that they are ready (by email and/or SMS), in line with our Terms & Conditions. Storage or handling fees may apply to goods not collected within this window.

7. Delayed or Failed Deliveries

If a delivery cannot be completed as scheduled (whether due to site access, customer unavailability, or circumstances outside our control such as weather or vehicle breakdown), we will contact the customer to arrange a new delivery time. Additional delivery or demurrage charges may apply for a redelivery caused by the customer not being ready to receive goods.

8. Damaged or Incorrect Goods on Arrival

Please inspect your delivery on arrival where possible. If goods arrive damaged (beyond fair wear expected of second-hand/recycled product — see our Returns & Refund Policy or the wrong items have been delivered, contact us as soon as possible, ideally within 48 hours, with photos and your order/invoice details, so we can resolve it quickly.
