Metal Primer Plus 15L

Roof Protect Metal Primer Plus is expertly formulated with high-quality styrene acrylic, renowned for its superior adhesive properties. This unique formula improves the adhesion between the membrane layers, ensuring a strong bond with metal roof sheets. Its excellent etching and adhesion characteristics make it ideal for Colorbond and other metal roofing materials. The product’s exceptional adhesive qualities guarantee a durable, weather-resistant, and long-lasting coating system.

Suitable For
This primer is designed for Colorbond and other metal roofs but is not suitable for rusty surfaces. For roofs with rust, we recommend using Roof Protect Rust Inhibitor Primer instead.

Coverage
The primer provides coverage of approximately nine square meters per liter and is available in 15-liter drums.

Cleanup
Metal Primer Plus can be easily cleaned up with water.

Installation Steps
Inspection: A professional will assess the roof’s condition and identify any issues that need addressing.
Cleaning: The roof will be thoroughly cleaned with a high-pressure washer to eliminate dirt, debris, and contaminants, possibly using anti-mold agents as needed.
Repairs: Any damaged areas, such as broken tiles, flashing, or gaps, will be repaired and resealed.
Priming: One coat of primer will be applied to ensure optimal adhesion of the coating.
Coating: Two coats of Roof Protect roof coating will be applied evenly using airless spray equipment, ensuring proper thickness.
Finishing Touches: Final adjustments will be made, such as painting trim and flashing or adding anti-slip features to walkways.
Warranty Information
Industrial Roof Coatings provides a warranty for Roof Protect, guaranteeing that the product will perform as expected for a specified period after application. Warranty terms may vary depending on the final product used. Typically, the warranty covers defects like premature cracking or peeling and issues with adhesion. However, it does not cover damage from external factors, such as storms, improper installation, or neglect, and previously painted roofs are excluded as the primer would adhere to the existing paint.

To qualify for the warranty, the product must be applied according to Industrial Roof Coatings’ guidelines by an Accredited Applicator and qualified professional. Periodic inspections and maintenance may also be required to ensure the product performs as intended.

If any issues arise during the warranty period, Industrial Roof Coatings will usually offer a remedy, which may include repair or replacement of the product up to the original purchase price. It’s crucial to read and understand the warranty terms before purchasing to know what is covered.
